I have decided that I am going to show my inspirations and then make them all into a collage so there will be a few slides of quotes and pictures and then you will see a part of the collage that has those things incorporated into it.mackenzie johnsonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14828973635141082751noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1321423616850727001.post-79084562926247869782011-05-04T13:34:00.000-07:002011-05-04T13:34:02.129-07:00Last Project: My Personal AstheticsSo for the last 6 weeks of new works we are doing a video about are personal asthetics. For the music for my video is going to be a song that I think is very cute and happy. I havent decided the exact song yet but I love happy cute songs and they inspire me. I am in the theater cluster so I am going to show my favorite actress and my major is al about speach and how people speak so quotes definately inspire me. I have a list of quotes that I look at everyday and I am going to add those into my video. I am also really interested in costume design and fashion so I am going to show pictures of my favorite fashions. The last part of my video is going to be pictures of things that calm me down like the beach and the pool and some pictures that i find calming such as "Delta Kappa" by morris louis. Can't wait to put this together!mackenzie johnsonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14828973635141082751noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1321423616850727001.post-66771947142463135832011-03-28T13:21:00.000-07:002011-03-28T13:21:42.053-07:00color and texture project ideasFor my project this six weeks I am going to use two of the five things we learned this six weeks during the rotation we did. I am going to use the color wheel and the different textures we learned in Ms. Edminson's class and use the concept of the way that in Ms. James class we learned that different fabric has different textures..... I am going to do a video in where I show pictures of the 6 colors in the basic color wheel we learned about, I am going to show pictures of different clothing that has different textures, and I am going to show pictures of true textures and artificial textures. I also made a instrumental song in Ms. Gill's class that is going to be the background music for my video. mackenzie johnsonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14828973635141082751noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1321423616850727001.post-35774561826194969082011-02-02T08:36:00.000-08:002011-02-02T08:36:08.837-08:00New Project for New WorksSo for our new project we have to make a video about our Booker T, for a gala that is going to be at our school to raise money for the school. so my group consists of a music student and two theater kids so we wrote a poem for the two theater kids to recite and the music kid is going to play piano and sing this beautiful song that she wrote and were going to capture it all on video.mackenzie johnsonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14828973635141082751noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1321423616850727001.post-60560875536055426382011-01-08T18:28:00.000-08:002011-01-08T18:28:21.742-08:00The Concept of the New YearWhen I think of the new year i think of New Year's Resolutions, letting the past go, and looking forward to the coming year. Some things are easier said than done, and at the end of the day most of our resolutions fall short and we go back to our routine. This New Year I am trying hard to keep up with my resolutions and let go of the past. Its more difficult than I thought but i am working on it. Some things that I am trying to do this year is let go of my old habits of laziness and procrastination and work harder and commit more to any work that is thrown at me. So as I get back into my routine, my new motto is "let go of the old and welcome the new."
Also Happy New Year!mackenzie johnsonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14828973635141082751noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1321423616850727001.post-31085581069714962602010-12-14T13:39:00.000-08:002010-12-14T13:39:31.957-08:00The Legend of the 1000 CranesFor New Works this 6 weeks we wrote Haikus, made paper cranes using oragami, and studided the fable of the 1000 cranes. Legend has it that if you fold 1000 paper cranes with your wish inside your wish will come true. Since having 160 kids fold 1000 cranes would take the rest of the year we split it up and we all folded 10 cranes. i know the math doesn't work out exactly but its close so we went with it. Then we all wrote our Haikus of our own. You could say we studied two things at once (the 1000 cranes and japanese history) and we just included and went all out with the fable because it originated in Japan. I liked this topic for the 6 weeks and I can't wait to find out what is next. mackenzie johnsonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14828973635141082751noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1321423616850727001.post-88545681468457710982010-12-14T13:28:00.000-08:002010-12-14T13:28:12.727-08:00My Haiku
<span style="color: #e69138; font-family: Times, "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: large;">The Glorious Crane

<span style="color: #e69138; font-family: Times, "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: large;">Stands tall and mighty for me

<span style="color: #e69138; font-family: Times, "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: large;">Guarding my wishes

I wrote this for my new works class. As the topic of c3 being our main focal point comes to a close, we were supposed to have a project expressing what we learned or discovered over the course of 6 weeks. During the disscusion of what we were going to do for our final project the class decided to do a video and a live preformance all together instead of breaking up into seperate groups.

We filmed our video the next class period we all decided to represent circle with earth and protons, cycle with water and neutrons, and change with fire and electrons. By doing this, we brought in every aspect of science, arts, and life. The fire people were in the middle with pictures of thier take on fire and if they didnt have a picture they had scarfs with colors of red, orange or yellow. The earth people did the same thing but their scarfs were brown and green. Then finally, the water had pictures and blue and white scarfs. We were going to sing and do a special presentation in front of all the other classes I think they would have enjoyed it.

The expirience has been very eye opening and beneficial to me. It has showed me to think for myself and always speak up when I think something is not right. This nu-works expirience has been unique and nothing I would have imagined. I mean that in the best way possible. I can't wait to see what is next for nu-works and what else I will be able to learn.mackenzie johnsonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14828973635141082751noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1321423616850727001.post-79327695162742695232010-10-12T13:50:00.000-07:002010-10-12T13:50:23.130-07:00Circle/Change/Cycle

Circle

Circles are never ending

There are no corners or sharp ends

"A circle is the reflection of eternity.
